Dr. Stephan is a biotechnology executive who serves as the Chairman and CEO of Seyltx. Dr. Stephan has served in leadership roles of several therapeutics companies, including as Chairman of Peptilogics, Pendulum, and Enhanced Genomics. Dr. Stephan previously led high-throughput genomics discovery efforts at the Translational Genomics Research Institute with a focus on neurological and mental health disorders. Dr. Stephan has received numerous awards for his contributions and has been featured repeatedly in the media, including several times on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Stephan did his fellowship with Francis Collins and Jeffrey Trent at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), holds a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh (from which he was honored the Legacy Laureate Award, the university’s highest alumni honor), and holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University.
