Gerald McDougall
Gerry McDougall’s passion is to link scientific breakthroughs to clinical application for the benefit of patients and society. His specialty is creating strategic alliances, joint ventures and partnerships to advance landmark projects that bring big ideas to life and result in large-scale transformational change at the leading edges of science, medicine, and biotechnology. Mr. McDougall's passionate commitment to this complex domain has yielded tremendous benefit for patients, investors and researchers. Mr. McDougall has advised leadership of the US Departments of Health and Human Services and of Defense, National Institute of Health; and the Food and Drug Administration. McDougall was invited by Congressman Fred Upton, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, to serve on the subcommittee that hammered out the details of the 21st Century Cures initiative. The act, which was signed into law in December 2016, establishes funds to develop and implement a strategic plan for the nation.
